Wayfarers Chapel

Last week I went on a day trip to Palos Verdes to visit the Wayfarer Chapel, which was designed by Lloyd Wright, son of Frank Lloyd Wright. It was a lovely day and the crystal clear sky was the perfect background for the glass structure.

The Chrisitan denomination that currently occupies the chapel, Swedenborgianism, provided plenty of laughs throughout the day (quite a mouthful). Little know fact--apparently Helen Keller was a Swedenborgian.

On our way home, we stopped for lunch in Gardenia. After filling up on delicious sushi from Kampachi and stocking up on Hi-Chew and Pocky at the Marukai across the street, we headed home.

Sophia,

Did you know that most of our fellow Linden Hills cottage owners are Swedenborgian? I'll tell you some stories I have about Fred's dad's memories of them in MI when he was a boy. There was a Swed. church right on the dune in LH until it got covered over by the sand.

Your dorm pix look cool. I'm in LA this weekend visiting everyone. Going up to SB for the weekend with Emma. Stay dry!!

Love Aunt K :)
