Earlier in the week, I headed out to Pilsen to pick up some fabric and notions for my Halloween costume. I ended up stopping here, which was great and reminded me a lot of my favorite fabric store in Los Angeles, Michael Levine's.
After, I stopped at a lovely Mexican bakery and picked up some delicious pan dulce and snacked happily on conchas during my bus ride home.
When I spotted Japanese bento egg molds at my local Korean market, I knew I had to try them out. Basically what you do is hard boil an egg, peel it while its still warm and then sandwich it inside the clamshell-like molds (which look like this). And ta-dah, you have a lovely rabbit shaped egg--so cute!
